Sanctuary Lakes Hotel, Melbourne
QA Electrical was engaged to complete the design and construction of all electrical components for the new Sanctuary Lakes Hotel in Point Cook, Melbourne.
The hotel delivers the style and energy of the best inner city venues including a bistro, kitchen, function rooms, TAB, gaming area, bars and kids’ play area. The hotel services a large area of Point Cook and is a standout project highlighting our broad range of electrical services.
QA Electrical solution
- Design the full electrical fit-out from the data fibre cabling through to lighting controls.
- Our Melbourne commercial electricians then managed the project through to completion, installing all electrical components.
- A major part of the project was the data and communications systems, including a structured cabling network for phone and Internet access.
- We also installed the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), Ateor lighting controls, back-up generator, and power distribution.
Key outcomes and results
The Ateor lighting control system includes a central touch screen which allows staff to program and operate the lighting across the hotel for energy efficiency savings, instantaneous adjustments for mood lighting, and lighting specific to certain areas.
The Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) provides instant emergency power to the gaming room if the power source was to fail, resulting in a delay for the back-up generator to start. This ensures the hotel can continue ‘business as usual’ in the event of a power failure, which benefits the hotel and its patrons.
