Test and tag
Your portable leads, tools and appliances should be inspected and tested every three, six or 12 months (depending on the product).
We can design a schedule to ensure your tested items are never out of date to maintain your workplace safety at all times. Our experienced commercial electricians will also inspect any items in-between test dates, if you are ever unsure of an item’s safety.
RCD (safety switch) testing
Every workplace should undertake safety switch testing every 12 months to ensure you and your staff are protected in the event of an electrical fault.
Known in the industry as a Residual Current Device (RCD), they will detect electrical issues such as a faulty appliance and stop the power at the switch, to prevent dangerous currents and electrical shocks.
Thermal imaging or ‘thermo scanning’ detects faults in your electrical system that are not necessarily visible, by identifying hot spots that can pose a safety risk.
We recommend thermo scanning as part of your annual maintenance schedule, to avoid equipment failure and electrical fires. Our service includes reporting and rectification plans to address issues and maintain your workplace safety.
